Capital Square, Richmond, Virgina
A walk in the Capital Square of Richmond, Virginia.
There is a nice statue for Edgar A. Poe, my favorite poet. My favorites:
"Annabel Lee" with the following words: "For the moon never beams,
without bringing me dreams of the beautiful Annabel Lee." "The Bells"
You can almost hear music as you read:
"Hear the sledges with the bells - Silver bells! What a world of
merriment their melody foretells! How they tinkle, tinkle,
tinkle, in the icy air of night!" And of course "The Raven". Although
he is a great master of the short story. The Poe Museum is close by
and a worthwhile trip. Please go there if you are in the Richmond, VA area.
The gardeners in the square do a fantastic job! They always manage to
have the latest flowers. The place is a well maintained park.
A true Paradise!
This is the old city hall. A beautiful building - now used for offices.
My friend and I took a walk in the Capital Square.
She's camera shy. What can I say? I'm not.
